Oxiclean is not supposed to be a paste. It should be more liquid to work right. Use oxiclean diluted properly with a small rotating brush attached to a drill and it will work very well

I LOVE my Crosswave. It helps keep the floors clean between deep cleans, picks up pet hair, dirt, and cleans the grooves in the tile with no extra effort. That small dirty water reservoir is great for people with back problems. Nobody with physical ailments wants to lug around anything heavy. Frequent emptying is vastly preferable to handling a heavy vessel.

Does mixing with a alkaline solution cause any toxic fumes? I think the warnings on the acid products say not to mix?

A very unique cleaning video because no one else explains the science and difference behind all these products which, after watching it, also makes you realise just how important it is to understand it! I myself have been looking for an all-purpose cleaning spray that I can use in the kitchen and the bathroom but now I understand just how impractical that is, in fact, potentially damaging to certain surfaces. Bonuswise, I hope I've understood this right and that is I'm assuming some form of acid will be helpful to get rid of rust spots on a bathroom towel radiator? A big box store installed the carpet in one room of my house. Became very loose in just a year and a half. I don’t remember seeing them use a long stretcher like in the vid, just the knee kicker. Had to restretch myself, as there was only 1 year warranty on installation.🤷‍♂️ That was the first, and only time I’ve ever gotten carpet from the big box stores. Now I stick to my local carpet place that’s been in business for over 70 years.

What ph neutral cleaner do you recommend for ceramic tile?

I've never liked the concept of mops. Only bought one a couple of years ago when a cleaning lady I hired insisted. Seems like it just moves dirty water around. Yuck! I got a Hoover Floormate about 20 years ago. Like the Bissel, It has very small tanks and takes forever to clean my floors. Then I bought a steam mop (with lots of the fabric mops). I found it picked up dirt left over after the Hoover. So, I retired the Hoover. Today, I steam mopped the kitchen. Then, brought the Hoover out of retirement and it picked up even more dirt. While the grout might (?) look a bit better in places, it is still a problem. The carpet upstairs will be professionally cleaned next week and while he is here, I'll ask how expensive it would be to professionally clean the tile on the first floor. In the past, I've tried my tiny steamer, an electric grout brush and brush cleaner. Incredibly time consuming and I didn't really see a real difference.

Think similar to the quiet noise from an electric car motor / engine noise that is waaaaaaay quieter compared to a diesel or petrol combustion motor / engine 🙌👂

There is a Hoover format that does wasp dry and also survive swivel and it also has the power button the cord way up on it so yeah you bought the older version. It’s OK.

Same old story. Steam/hot water. Hot water does not clean as this guy lets you believe. Chemistry cleans. Try washing dishes and your clothes in hot water..yep still dirty.

Tell the whole truth, grout can be recolored and looks amazing when completed.

Do you have your be careful about using a steamer on tiles? Do tiles ever crack? Thinking about trying the Bissell spin wave steamer.

Color sealing grout will solve the mis-matched grout repairs. penetrating sealers deliver very poor performance at protecting grout from future soils. Your presentation was well thought out and edited well.

Please make a simple clear statement about what specifically I should use to clean the tile floor and the bathtub. I have no idea what a "neutral" cleaning product. That's just words with no meaning to me. JUST TELL ME WHAT TO BUY!!!

What about uaing a steam cleaner followed by a wet vaccuum? Would that be effective? How soon would you vaccuum after steaming?

My favorite alkaline cleaner is Awesome Cleaner that is available at dollar stores and Home Depot. It takes down grease like no other!

Thanks for the video! Earned my subscribe. Curious, are products like Zep (acidic and alkaline) generally okay to use in a custom shower that has porcelain tile but is lined with a rubber liner? I just had house remodeled and just cautious as not to damage the rubber liner under the tiles. I honestly would assume so as many ppl have custom showers made as such but you never know.

Not for me. As I am 84 a fall could break a hip. Not that I'm frightened it is more serious at my age. Maybe if someone else was there to steady the wobbles??
